The honest part

The same thumb. A different feed.

You already open your phone a hundred times a day. Sacred Feed asks for one of them.

Your usual feed

2 h 20 mThe average adult spends on social feeds every day.

With Sacred Feed

  • One verse per screen, in order, from Genesis to Revelation
  • Nothing to buy your attention: no comments, no autoplay, no ads
  • Five minutes that stay with you, and your place is always saved
  • A small sparrow with a lantern, so you never read alone

How it works

Three things. That’s all.

01

Open.

The feed starts where you left off, or on today’s plan. Good morning, good afternoon, good night: the scene changes with the hour.

Today screen: Good afternoon, a 1-day streak, the week’s circles and Day 1 of 21 of the Start with John plan.

02

Swipe.

One verse per screen, set in a typeface made for reading. Take as many as you have time for. The next verse is the next verse, not a random one.

Reading screen with Philippians 4:6.

03

Tap.

Deep Study opens under the verse: what it says in plain words, where it sits in the story, the key Hebrew or Greek words, and the verses it talks to.

Deep Study sheet for Psalm 46:10 with the verse, In plain words and Key word sections.

04

Done in five.

Your plan is built from your answers and fits a five-minute morning. Miss a day and it waits for you. Pip keeps the light on.

Your plan is ready: Start with John, a morning reminder and the Catholic canon in CPDV, with Pip flying in with a lantern.

Deep Study

Understand the verse before you move on.

Behind thousands of verses sits a short study: the plain meaning, the context, two or three key words in Hebrew or Greek, and the verses it speaks to. Think of it as a patient friend with a commentary open, not a chatbot.

The studies are prepared ahead of time with the help of AI from public-domain commentaries, checked by an independent review panel, and shipped inside the app. They are notes, not Scripture: the verse itself is always shown unchanged. Spot a mistake? Tap Report in the study and a person will read it. How our studies are made

Psalms 46:10 · WEB

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted on the earth.”

In plain words

This is the one line in the psalm where God speaks. The command translated “be still” is not mainly about quiet feelings; the verb carries the sense of slackening, dropping your hands, stopping. Then comes the reason to stop: he is God, and his greatness will be recognized everywhere.

Key words

  • רָפָה râphâh · to slacken, let go
  • יָדַע yâdaʻ · to know, recognize
  • גּוֹי gôwy · nation

Stillness here is not denial of the noise; it is refusing to be ruled by it.

Everything else

Built for a quiet five minutes.

In order. In context.

The feed is the whole Bible in sequence, not a verse of the day pulled out of its story. Swipe and the next verse is the next verse. Jump anywhere with Go to.

Start with John in 21 days, or set the pace you choose. Each day is a handful of verses, not homework. Miss a day and the plan waits for you.

A gentle nudge, not a guilt trip.

Pick a time. Pip brings one verse a day. Streaks count the days you showed up and never shame you for the ones you didn’t.

About you

Your tradition. Your translation.

Choose how you read and Sacred Feed orders the books the way your church does, then picks a translation to match. You can change both any time.

Pick your tradition

We use translations anyone may read freely. That is why the whole Bible can live on your phone, offline, with no account: the King James Version for the classic cadence, the World English Bible and Berean Standard Bible for modern English, the American Standard Version for study, and the Catholic Public Domain Version with all 73 books.

Before you download

Questions, answered.

Is Sacred Feed free?

Free to download, and the whole Bible is free to read, save and annotate for as long as you like. Deep Study, reading plans, widgets and share cards are Premium. Everything is free for your first 7 days; after that Premium is a yearly or monthly subscription through Apple. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.

I already have a Bible app.

Most Bible apps open to a wall of text. Sacred Feed opens to one verse, in the shape your thumb already knows, with an explanation one tap away. It is built for the five minutes you actually have, not the hour you keep meaning to find.

Isn’t one verse at a time out of context?

It would be, if the verses were random. They are not. The feed is the whole Bible in order: swipe and the next verse is the next verse. Deep Study’s “where it sits in the story” section exists precisely so a single line never floats free of its chapter.

Which translations are included, and why not NIV or ESV?

Five, all in full: King James Version, World English Bible, Berean Standard Bible, American Standard Version, and the Catholic Public Domain Version. We chose translations anyone may read freely, so the whole Bible can live on your phone with no account. The NIV and ESV need publisher licenses that can be withdrawn, so we do not offer them.

Is Deep Study written by AI?

The Deep Study notes are prepared ahead of time with the help of AI, from public-domain commentaries and dictionaries, then checked by an independent review panel before they ship with the app. They are notes, not Scripture: the verse is always shown unchanged. No personal data is ever sent to an AI system. If something looks wrong, tap Report in the study and a person will read it. How our studies are made

Does every verse have a Deep Study?

Not yet. More than 8,000 verses do today, starting with the most-read passages across all 66 books, and new studies arrive with every update. The full Bible text is always there.

Which church is this for?

Choose Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, non-denominational or “still exploring” when you start. The books are ordered the way your tradition reads them; Catholic readers get all 73 books in the CPDV, Orthodox readers get 76 in the WEB. Sacred Feed is an independent company, not a church, and the studies are notes, not the official teaching of any tradition.

Does it work offline? Do I need an account?

Yes, and no. The entire Bible and every study are on your phone, so it works on a plane or in a basement. There is no account, no sign-in, no password.

What do you know about me?

Very little. Your reading, bookmarks, notes and streaks stay on your device, and so does the tradition you chose unless you decide to share it in Settings. We collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to fix bugs, and Apple handles billing. When iOS asks whether Sacred Feed may track you, you can say no and everything still works. We never sell data. Privacy Policy

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Sacred Feed › Cancel Subscription. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged. Billing and refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is there an Android, iPad or web version?

Not yet. Sacred Feed is built for iPhone. If that changes, this page will say so first.

Meet Pip

This is Pip. Pip keeps the light on.

A small brown sparrow with a lantern. Pip doesn’t talk, sell, or send notifications about notifications. Pip just brings your verse once a day, lights your path when your plan is built, and waits on the fence post while you read.
